Being homeless is a very difficult thing to live through, and having pets in that situation adds an extra level of stress. Homeless people prioritize their pet's health, and we wanted to take part in that as well. We learned that a majority of homeless shelters do not allow pets, limiting the number of resources that homeless people with pets have access to. Our group decided to help relieve this stress by raising money to help with the expense of owning a pet. Our solution will directly impact the homeless population in downtown as well as their pet companions.
